Equal Future has been created to mark the 25th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform of Action.
The idea is to show the progress women have made in politics over the past 25 years and to create awareness about the work to be done to achieve gender parity in parliaments.
In the website three different visualisations can be found. The first one shows the progress made by the selected country in the past 25 years as well as 4 possible forecast scenarios for the coming 10 years.
In a second visualisation it is possible to compare the actual percentage of women in the parliament.
A third visualization shows the effect of the adopting electoral gender quotas for candidates.
